Shelter

The Housing Services programs strive to provide individuals with services that prevent and reduce hospital care, and that promote the optimal level of functioning to achieve each individual’s personal satisfaction, growth, and highest potential. The Housing programs place a strong emphasis on psychosocial rehabilitation principles and the recovery model to assist members to maximize their quality of life. Housing Assistance Supported Independent Living (SIL) Program and the Super SIL Program Enhanced Supported Apartments Licensed Care Facilities Transitional Housing Environmental Services

Learning

Our Life skills and Recreation programs promote knowledge, psychosocial and interpersonal skills and social interactions to help people learn to function and live independently in our communities. SEED Employment Program The SEED program assists individuals with chronic mental health issues to build the vocational skills, confidence and stamina necessary to make the transition from unemployment to satisfying work opportunities.

Medical

The Kettle Health Clinic is a safe and accepting place for to get medical help. Everyone is welcome. The nurse at the Kettle clinic offer wound care, treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, immunization, testing for sexually transmitted infections, women’s health care and PAP tests, chronic disease management, health education, foot care, and referrals to other health care providers. The clinic is open Monday and Tuesday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and Thursdays, 9:00 – 12:00 noon. Hours are subject to change.

Food

The Kettle Drop-In meal program serves over 22,000 meals to 2,500 individuals annually including every holiday. Meals are provided at 11:30 am daily and cost $1.00 for mental health consumers.

Legal

The Advocacy Service is open for service Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 to 4:00 pm. We are closed between 12 and 1 for lunch. Our phone number is 604-253-0669. No appointment is needed as our service is available on a drop-in basis. Our office is on the second floor of 1725 Venables Street and is wheelchair accessible.
